Mystic Island Vineyard resides in the enchanting Qiushan Valley, Penglai, Shandong, China. Within our 16.16-hectare vineyard, a harmonious relationship between land and vine thrives. Diverse soils, nurtured by the region's granite bedrock, bestow depth and complexity upon our wines.
With meticulous organisation into terraced fields, we embrace the unique qualities of our soil, particularly the coarse granular sand derived from granite parent material, which lends itself perfectly to the creation of exceptional wines. Our vineyard consists of 172 thoughtfully developed plots, each maximising its potential through optimised vine spacing, with 2 metres between rows and 1 metre between vines.
This arrangement enhances air circulation and sunlight exposure, fostering the growth of grapes of utmost quality. Every grape used to craft our wines is cultivated and handpicked exclusively from our vineyard and guided by the principles of Regenerative Agriculture. We prioritise sustainable practices that promote soil health and biodiversity.

Preserving the integrity of our grapes that are 100% estate grown is of utmost importance to us at Mystic Island Winery. To achieve this, we delicately de-stem the selected grapes without crushing them, allowing their natural flavours to shine through. We employ a gravity-fed approach to transfer the grapes, ensuring gentle handling. Our Bucher Vaslin Press process further enhances the extraction of flavours and aromas before transferring the juice to our state-of-the-art small stainless-steel fermentation tanks. With an automatic temperature control system, we ensure precise regulation during fermentation and storage, allowing our wines to reach their full potential in terms of flavour and aroma development.
Additionally, we prioritise sustainability by utilising PEFC certified barrels sourced from responsible forests, employing lightweight bottles to reduce carbon footprint, and using recycled packing materials for our products.
Throughout the entire winemaking process, from harvest to bottling, we exercise control over oxygen exposure. This unwavering attention to detail guarantees that every bottle of wine is of the highest quality, serving as a true testament to our dedication to excellence.
With an annual output of approximately 28,000 bottles that are 100% produced on site, we take immense pride in offering a limited production of wines that embody our passion for craftsmanship.
