Mystic Island Winery in Penglai, China, prioritizes social responsibility and employee well-being. Since 2008, we have provided jobs for local farmers and attracted a young workforce. We emphasize nature conservation and sustainable farming. The winery recruits viticulture experts from Canada and New Zealand, promoting cultural exchanges. We are located in Penglai Qiushan Valley Wine District, Yantai City, Shandong Province. Qiushan is named after Qiu Chuji.
In Chinese Mythology, there are three magic mountains in the Bohai Sea: Penglai, Yingzhou and Fangzhang. It is a mystical place. The legend of“Eight Immortals Crossing Sea”also originated here.
We are located in Penglai Qiushan Valley Wine District, Yantai City, Shandong Province. Qiushan is named after Qiu Chuji.

The logo includes a mountain in the shape of an "M", inspired by the vineyard's surrounding landscape and the winery's name "Mystic Island". Its design takes the form of a maze, overlooking the vineyard and its neighbouring reservoir.
The overall design integrates the landform characteristics of the vineyard and Chinese artistic features.
The wine label graphic is a combination of a masquerade mask and a magpie with a hidden " M " at the center. The masquerade mask pays homage of folklore and Qiushan Valley's distinct history. Magpies are commonly found in the area. Throughout the winery's establishment, magpies protected the vineyard, winery and villa, bringing warmth, love and joy. The two designs, used for the red and white wines respectively are reflections of one another signifying unity and togetherness.
" YI 逸 " means comfort, elegant and outstanding; it is a Chinese character that the founders love and have given it as the middle Chinese character in their children's names. " HU 湖 " means lake, it represents the lake by the winery.
" YIHU 逸湖 " together signifies the winery by the beautiful lake is a comfortable place where people being there could feel joy and peace. "YIHU 逸湖 " wines are delicate and elegant in style that could tell the story of the sense of place, the environment, and the uniqueness of the vineyard and Qiushan Valley Wine District. The winery strives to present the outstanding characteristics of " YIHU逸湖 " wines and the outstanding culture of the winery.
Hallex Limited is founded in 2020 as a sister company of Mystic Island Vineyards Limited and Mystic Valley Limited. These companies were incorporated in Hong Kong and invested into Qiushan Valley Wine District.
To enhance the overall experience for visitors, Mystic Villa and Guest Centre have been constructed. These facilities offer accommodation, wine tours, education, and an art exhibition area. We extend a warm invitation to all visitors to come and enjoy our hospitality, as well as partake in the delightful experience of wine tasting.
